Description

Wife of Nerine, goddess of chaos. In the past, natural disasters were explained away as a result of the union between the two goddesses. The myths vary, some say the disasters are causes by the goddesses courting each other while others say they are quarreling. Melia is a minor goddess in the service of Orlantha, the nature goddess, and is ultimately loyal to her. Worship in Melia as somewhat decreased over the years, she was predominately prayed to for bringing rain and fair winds. A few regions even went to great lengths to placate her just to keep the storms away. Melia is also attributed to for lightning, thunder, and hurricanes. Some old myths also credit her for the rainbow.
